Summer festivals in London

Are you looking for fun summer festivals in London this year? Here’s a list of where to go and what’s happening:

Wilderness – Location: Cornbury Park

This festival is for the art lovers.  It offers a wide variety of events from outdoor theatre courtesy of Shakespeare’s Globe, horse riding, a lake side spa and also long table catered by leading chefs in the industry. Let’s not forget the music. The headliners are the legendary ivory-tinkler and songwriter Burt Bacharach, downbeat pop trio London Grammar and wonky electronicist Metronomy. As well as Jessie Ware, Gregory Porter, Connan Mockasin and Mount Kimbie.

Dates: August 7th to August 10th.

Love Box – Location: Victoria Park

One of our personal favourites. It is one of the finest boutique efforts in London, appealing to cool kids and party monsters! Lovebox is back in London for 2014! Its new vision this year is led by the production team behind Secret Garden Party, making it a highlight to London summer festivals. Look forward to hearing a excellent line-up of DJ’s, electronic acts and live bands!

Dates: July 18th to July 19th.

Calling Festival – Location: Clapham Common

Hard Rock Calling is no more. Long live… Calling Festival. Not quite as rock ‘n’ roll in title (it sounds like a telesales conference, no?), but still packing a hefty musical punch, the renamed festival has also relocated again, this time moving from the Olympic Park to Clapham Common.

Dates: June 28th to June 29th.

Wireless Festival – Location: Finsbury Park

Last but not least. Our favourite summer festival taking place t this year in Finsbury Park that will play host to an eye-popping line-up of hip hop and R&B royalty. Kanye! Drake! Pharrell! Outkast! Not to mention young stars from both sides of the Atlantic such as Ella Eyre and Angel Haze, Earl Sweatshirt and Clean Bandit – and party-starting troupers Basement Jaxx and Salt N Pepa. It’s hard to doubt that this will be one of the UK festival season’s biggest bills, or that it’ll sell out practically straight away. Make sure to buy your tickets in advance if you would like to attend.

Dates: July 4th to July 6th.

Will you be attending any of these awesome events? Let us know! Also let us know how it was. Enjoy your summer.
